Long time, no talk...

When I started this blog, I told myself I was going to keep it up religiously. Every time I say that to myself, about anything, I always end up not sticking to the plan. So maybe I can just tell myself, "Just do it when you feel like it," I'll keep up with it more regularly. With that said, off to my ramblings...

I am a Christian, as I've stated in my bio and my previous post. However, I've been falling away lately and I can feel it more than ever. It goes without saying that I need everyone's prayers. I also need to do some soul-searching. What I mean by this is that I need to find who I need to be in order to please God. This will make my Lord and Savior happy, and in turn, I will be happy and content as well. But I am not searching for contentment; I'm searching for the me that is always wanting more. Wanting to be more like God, wanting to help others be more like God, wanting to help more people find God... A true Christian always yearns for more.

In my journey for more, I'm going to have to accept less in other areas. Less association with bad company, less cursing, less alcohol, less vulgar music...less of anything and everything that I find brings me down. If anyone is reading this, I'd love for you to pray for me in my time of need but more importantly, I challenge you to take the same journey in becoming more Christlike. It will save your life.

That's all until next time...

  1. I've been feeling the same way lately. I have studied scripture, prayed constantly, been broken and rebuilt, and been reflective my whole life...but it just wasn't been there for a few years. I still prayed, but my heart was calloused.

Now, I can tell you that getting into the Word every day is vital...it's life bringing. Also, I'll be praying for you.

    1. Thank you. I've been doing the same for a few years, too. I think it's what Christians who want to grow do. They never feel as though they are at their best, as it should be. There's always room to grow. Thanks for your prayers.
